You Have To See These Lion King Inspired Makeup Looks

The live-action remake of Disney’s The Lion King, which hit theaters last Thursday, is influencing box office and beauty trends.

The film, starring Donald Glover and Beyoncé, surpasses records for the highest opening in July with estimated sales of 296.4 million dollars worldwide making it the biggest Disney opening of all time. The movie’s impact on beauty is also noteworthy.

Sir John, Beyoncé’s longtime makeup artist, launched a limited-edition makeup collection with Luminess, that made fans feel like royalty. Then, Queen Bey turned around and released “Brown Skin Girl,” a track from The Lion King: The Gift album, inspiring a viral social media challenge that affirms and celebrates black beauty. Fans have also incorporated elements of the film into their makeup looks.
